On my latest trip to Reno I was treated to a couple of wildlife creatures that surprised me; since I spent most of my time indoors. One was a little squirrel; another story, the other some type of raptor. I narrowed it down to two possibilities; the Red-shouldered Hawk or the Rough-legged Hawk.
It could be either or neither. I spent a lot of time researching only to discover that no one picture can tell the story. Instead there are several factors involved; how old the bird is, is it male or female. Not to mention I only saw the back not the front, not the wing spread or the flight pattern.
So here it is. Maybe someone out there knows.
